Design

The humboldt penguin has claws on the toes of its webbed feet. These claws help the penguin climb the rocky terrain of its habitat. Some evolutionists say that the flippers of this penguin evolved from wings; however, we know that God designed the penguin to be an excellent swimmer. The Humboldt penguin has flipper-like wings because that is what God intended it to have.

Features

• Like the emperor penguin, the Humboldt penguin also wears its black and white suit, but the pattern is different.
• The Humboldt penguin is also much smaller than the emperor penguin.
• It has pink around its eyes and on its beak.

Fun Facts

• Each Humboldt penguin (like all other penguin species) has a distinctly different voice; this allows parents and their offspring to find each other in a crowd.
• This species can drink both saltwater and freshwater.
