Do you love splashing in the pool or dipping your toes in the ocean? God made water to keep us cool and clean, quench our thirst, prepare food, and even generate electricity. It’s a necessary ingredient for life. But God has also provided “living water,” a phrase in the Bible that means eternal life through Jesus. In John 4:13–14, Jesus says, “Whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again.” Only Jesus can forgive our sin and give us eternal life when we repent and believe in him—and that’s the most refreshing truth of all.
