Where Did All the Water Go After the Flood?

Apr 01, 2021

The global flood of Noah’s day that God tells us about in Genesis covered the whole earth. That’s a lot of water! So where did it all go?

Verses to Read

  • Genesis 9:11
  • Psalm 104:8

At the end of the flood, mountains rose up and valleys sank to form ocean basins (like a bowl for the ocean). The flood waters filled the oceans. Today, over half the earth is covered with water. (We call earth the Blue Planet for a reason!) If we lowered the mountains and raised the ocean valleys, there would be more than enough water to cover the whole earth.

The next time you go to the beach and splash in the waves, remember that the water you’re playing in once covered the whole earth during the flood.

Evolutionists believe that the mountains rose slowly over millions of years. But the Bible teaches that the mountains rose quickly because of the flood.
