Summary: In 2 Chronicles we read about the reign of Solomon, his successes, the building of the Temple, and his death. The kingdom was divided into two nations—Israel and Judah. 2 Chronicles tells of the southern kingdom of Judah and the kings that reigned there after Solomon died. It tells of the disobedience and idolatry of the people and God’s punishment on them when He sent King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon to destroy Jerusalem and the Temple of God and to bring many Jews captive to Babylon.

About God: God is patient with sinners. But He hates sin, and He will finally judge it.
