Law of Gravity

May 01, 2017

Ever dropped a ball and watched it float up into the sky? No? That’s because the law of gravity is always at work no matter where you are. The amazing force of gravity keeps balls falling, the earth orbiting around the sun, and our feet on the ground.

The law of gravity is just one of the many laws of physics, which is a type of science. Where did these laws come from? The one true God created the laws of heaven and earth (Jeremiah 33:25) in the beginning, and He continues to uphold all things by His power (Colossians 1:17; Hebrews 1:2–3).

If there is no God who made the laws, then why should every part of the universe follow any laws? If there is no God and everything resulted from an explosion, we wouldn’t expect our universe to operate in orderly ways. We would expect it to be out of control and crazy!

We can praise the one true God who is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8) and who created our universe to work the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow!
