Summary: Haggai spoke his message to the Jews after they returned to Jerusalem to rebuild the Temple of God that had been destroyed by the Babylonians. The people started the building project well but soon became distracted by their own wealth, and the work on the Temple stopped. Haggai called the people back to work for God and His Temple, reminding them that the Lord was with them and the rebuilt Temple would bring pleasure and glory to God.

About God: God commands His people to love, serve, and obey Him above all other things.
