Summary: The people were ready to enter the Promised Land. This was a new generation. Most had not personally experienced life in Egypt, the plagues, the miraculous escape, or the giving of the Law at Mount Sinai. Moses reminded the people of God’s laws and again encouraged them to obey, love, serve, and fear God alone.

God’s message was clear: He is the only Lord, and He would bless the people’s obedience and curse their sin.

About God: God is holy, just, merciful, and faithful. His children are to love Him with all their heart, soul, and strength.
