Design
Chimpanzees have recently been classified in the same family as humans; however, they are two very different and separate creatures. God created man special and unique with the ability to communicate with his Creator. The chimp was designed to live in trees. With its long arms, which are 1.5 times longer than its height, it is designed to swing from branch to branch. Also, its opposable toes, allow it to grip the branches of trees with its feet as well.
Features
- The chimpanzee is a type of ape. Apes differ from monkeys in that they do not have tails, and their arms are longer than their legs.
- The chimp’s foot and hand bones are curved between the knuckles ... humans’ are straight.
Fun Facts
- Like some other animals, the chimp uses tools to help it get food.
- Chimps greet each other by kissing, embracing, and grunting. Chimps play by wrestling, tickling, and chasing each other.
