Currently, the largest star in the universe that we know of is called UY Scuti. This star is in the center of our galaxy, the Milky Way. It is about 9,500 light-years away from earth. UY Scuti is about 1,700 times larger than the earth’s sun. That means about 5 billion suns could fit inside UY Scuti!
The magnitude of the stars is pretty amazing, huh? When we look up at the night sky, we can thank our powerful God for creating the sun, moon, and stars on the fourth day of creation.
