Kids Feedback: Science Fair Project
Nov 04, 2011
My daughter is in sixth grade. Do you have any suggestions for a science fair project that will honor God and be scientific in nature?
Thank you
–J.K., IL
There are several fun and educational experiments that have been featured in Answers magazine! These experiments can be performed at home, although adult supervision is suggested. They might be appropriate for a science fair experiment, depending on the requirements of the specific science fair with which your daughter is involved.
Here is a list:
- What Is Plant Tropism?
These experiments allow you to observe plant tropism, and much more. - How Strong Are Eggshells?
These experiments will help you learn the secret behind the eggshell’s amazing strength. - Does It Take Millions of Years for Fossils to Form?
Do fossils require millions of years to form? See for yourself with this simple experiment. - Space-Age Leaves
How do you design a huge solar panel that can be folded up and stored in a tiny rocket? To find the answer, scientists looked inside the buds of the common beech tree. - Science Experiments

There are also books in the Answers in Genesis bookstore that provide fun and educational experiments for children (some are listed in the recommended resources below). I hope this helps you choose a science experiment!
